Recycling in HK... or lack of.
I'm not sure what it is, but lately this entire earth day and global warming has been on the top of my list. When we go out, i'm much more observant of recyling containers, how often or rather few there are in hk and how little it seems that the gov't cares about the well being of our earth for future generations.
perhaps it's because we have a little one on the way, so we start to think about these things, and start looking at things differently... or perhaps it's because all the discovery / national geographic shows are now more geared towards the melting ice caps or greenland disappearing... how, if the temperatures rise by even 2 degrees in the next 100 years what impact it'll have on us, as humans... in a way, depressing but at the same time it's not over yet.
i'm not sure where to begin, but a city with millions of ppl like hk, it's a shame that the gov't doesn't take a bigger initiative in pushing for better recyling, to help with lessening our carbon footprint (let's not even talk about china), and businesses promoting small things like paperless statements... i wonder where to begin to make a change here...

Happy Earth Day!
Everyday should be Earth Day... especially nowadays, after all we've done to mother earth. It's pretty sad actually- as much as humans have advanced thru the centuries, how much damage we've done at the same time.
As the saying goes- there's no such thing as a free lunch.
